It’s no secret that I’m in love with my Canon IVY Mini Photo Printer. I use it quite often for crafting and this summer I’ve been using the darling sticker prints for fun things all over my house… so I decided to share them with you! This little device prints awesome rectangle and pre-cut circle stickers right from your smartphone using the photos on your phone or from your social accounts. You can then add filters, text, stickers, and other fun elements within the Canon Mini Print app to your photo prints. They are super sticky, which makes them perfect for crafts of all different types like I’m sharing today. For more detailed information about the Canon IVY, check out our recent YouTube video.
Loading The ZINK Paper
The Canon IVY Mini Printers use a special type of photo paper called ZINK, which stands for zero ink. No need to replace ink cartridges – it’s all built into the photo paper. Each pack has a blue barcode that you add to the printer, face down, so that it reads and calibrates the printer perfectly for the paper you’ve inserted. Now you’re ready to print.
Editing Your Photos
You can print photos from your camera reel, Facebook, Instagram, Google Photos, and you can even take a photo inside the app. Once you pull a photo into the Canon app, you can add filters, text, stickers, frames and more. You can even edit the photo inside the app with brightness, contrast, saturation, and color balance.
Printing Your Photos
Now you’re ready to print! Currently the ZINK photo paper comes in 2″x3″ rectangle photo stickers or two, 1.3″ circle photo stickers. Yes, that’s right – all the photo prints have a super strong sticky back! Which makes them perfect for crafts!
From here you can add your custom photo stickers to just about anything… but here are 10 super fun ideas:
Use Your IVY Stickers To Make Custom Photo Necklaces
These photo necklaces are just way too cute, I can barely stand it, and are probably my favorite of all the 10 projects. You can find many different types of blank wood and metal necklace bezels online and then print and add one of your IVY circle photo stickers to them! Seal with two layers of ModPodge to protect your creation and you have a gorgeous, custom photo necklace. I actually cut these 1/8” wood blank bezels on my Glowforge, email me and I’d be happy to share the cut file with you for free. These would make terrific, inexpensive holiday gifts for family and friends.
Use Your IVY Stickers To Create A Photo PopSocket
The Canon ZINK Pre-cut Circle Stickers are the absolute perfect size to put on a PopSocket! Purchase a plain color and add any photo you want. Then when you are tired of that photo, simply replace it! Your friends will think you had this made!
Use Your IVY Stickers To Make An Awesome Photo Notebook
Ok, is this the best or what!? Creating this fun photo notebook can be done with so many different types of photos. I used just one photo of my German Shepard Max, but changed it up by using literally every filter inside of the Canon Mini Print App. As a mom you could do this with photos of your kids or your kids could do this with photos of their friends, and so much more!
Use Your IVY Stickers To Add Photos To Drawer Knobs
Isn’t this a great idea!? Add your own special photos to drawer or desk knobs! This was a super quick way to really upgrade my vintage desk with photos from a special trip we took to a sunflower farm. The cool thing is that if I get bored of the sunflowers I can always reprint new stickers.
Use Your IVY Stickers To Personalize Your Gift Wrap
I did this back at Christmas time and will most likely continue to do it every year because it was just so much fun. Easily make your own photo tags for any kind of gift; birthday, wedding, Mother’s Day, Christmas and more. This little element really takes your gift wrap to the next level. I love that in the Canon Mini Print App, I can add text, and filters to my photos like I did here.
Sealing an envelope with the circle stickers is literally my new favorite thing.
Use Your IVY Stickers To Embellish Your Planner
Calling all planner people! Keep your IVY with your planner stuff so that each week you can print fun new embellishments for your schedule. So many planner and journal people already do this but I’m finally jumping on board, and I love it.
Use Your IVY Stickers To Categorize Toy Bins
This has been such an awesome visual for my littles! Now they know exactly what toy bin their toys go in. It doesn’t always happen perfectly, but they totally get it. The oldest now tells the littles, “No, look, the blocks go here, with the sticker!” It’s adorable. It was super easy to snap a shot of each toy with my smartphone, print, and add to the bins!
Use Your IVY Stickers To Make A Photo Banner
This summer we’ve been adding photo prints to this little banner. When we get a real nice photo of someone, it gets printed and added to the banner, preserving the sticker-back for another time! I’m thinking I’ll do this for Christmas too, but with a holiday themed banner instead.
Use Your IVY Stickers To Embellish Plain Candles
Purchase plain candles and easily embellish them with both types of photo prints, the rectangles and the circles! These are now in my bathroom. Any color candle + your special photos = quick and easy, custom decor for any room.
Use Your IVY Stickers To Create A Photo Tumbler
The ZINK Photo Prints are water resistant (and super sticky), which means you can totally add them to water bottles or tumblers. It’s best to hand wash and avoid vigorous scrubbing on the prints, but this is a fun way to add photos to your own cup or as a gift to give.
So What Will You Add Your ZINK Photo Prints To?
