Resin is my most favorite way to be creative! I’m Carli from Hein and Dandy, a creative blog! Today’s tutorial is great for any occasion. We are making resin name tags! Letter beads are super on-trend right now and make great personalized gifts. Today I will show you how to make a dog tag, cat tag, diaper bag tag, and newlywed tag! Let’s get started!
SUPPLIES:
UV Resin
UV Light
Dog Tags (Bone, Heart, Fish)
Glitter
Letter Beads
Layers
This project calls for mulitple layers of glitter, resin, and beads. You want to make sure to apply the resin in these thin layers so that it will cure all the way through with the UV light.
Add a thin base layer of resin and glitter then put it under the UV light for a minute.
Next layer will be your letters. Pick out what you want to spell out! This is where you can make a tag for anyone! Mrs. Adams for your best friend who is just getting married, Kappa for your dog, Winston for your cat, Bria for your baby! These tags are great for everyone in your circle!
We used a mix of circle beads and square beads. It’s your choice how you want it to look!
In this layer, after you have added your beads, add a little more glitter. This will create multiple layers of glitter to create more dimension. Then add back under the UV light.
One more layer of resin to top it all off and make it look clean! Then back under the UV light for final finishing touch.
Peel Back
Your tag will be completely hardened now! Peel back the mold to get your resin tag out.
Add just one hoop for an animal tag or the entire keychain for your human friends.
Add to your animals collar, diaper bag, or purse!
