Being a Mom has completely changed my life, you know, everyone says that but it’s true. I find myself consumed with thoughts on how I can encourage and cultivate creativity, curiosity, and independence within my children. All I want to do is give them tools and supplies to foster creativity so I’ve partnered with Canon to bring you an amazing idea for a kids photo scavenger hunt using the new IVY CLIQ Instant Camera & Portable Printer! My kids are obsessed with stickers and photos, so this is like a match made in kid-craft heaven because the instant photo prints are actually stickers! Print our free scavenger hunt sheets and let your littles capture the world around them.
The New Canon Ivy CLIQ+ Instant Camera Printer
I am so in love with this adorable little camera printer and now our little friend Dee is obsessed too! You can easily and quickly snap and print photos on the go, while also saving them via the built in memory card slot – perfect for creative kids! Take advantage of it’s photo filters and effects and print collages or tile prints. The prints are actually stickers and to a kid, that is practically magic. Encourage your littles creative side with this on-the-go camera printer!
Our FREE printable scavenger hunt sheets at the end of the post!
Print The Scavenger Hunt Sheets
I’ve created three unique photo scavenger hunt pages for you; indoor, outdoor, and colors. Click the graphic at the end of the post to instantly save the files to your desktop or laptop computer. Then print onto 8.5″ x 11″ Matte Photo Paper using your favorite Canon printer; mine is currently the PIXMA TS9521C Crafting Printer.
Since the photo prints from the Canon Ivy Cliq are 2″ x 3″ little stickers, I thought it would be AWESOME to have a scavenger hunt sticker fill in sheet!
Let Your Kid Shoot
Dee is almost five years old and I had so much fun helping her learn how to use this camera. It only took her a few tries to figure it out and she even took a darling selfie using the little mirror on the front! It’s a point-and-shoot made easy, that magically produces a sticker of what you took a photo of – that’s kid gold.
Fill In The Sheets
Each square is design especially to fit the little ZINK sticker paper prints, so you can fill in as they shoot or have them do it once they’re finished. You also don’t have to do a whole sheet in one day, you could maybe shoot one or two each day to keep the excitement going.
Blank Sheets Too
I’m also sharing a set of blank photo scavenger hunt sheets that you can fill in for your child. Let’s say you’re taking a road trip, you can fill in things you know you will see along the way. Or maybe this is a great activity for Grandmas house, let her fill in the items. Also a great idea for rainy days, fill in the photo grid with their favorite toys, books, and indoor items making a little time capsule of sorts.
Encourage Their Creativity
It’s easy to encourage their creativity and their curiosity with this photo scavenger hunt idea. Have a quick photo taking lesson and then let them experiment! What happens when you take a photo in the sun, what happens when you take a photo in a dark room, try to line up the item within the lines in the viewfinder… so much learning, while having a complete blast!
