Darling DIY Dried Floral Bud Vases

It’s time to start prepping for entertaining season! Today I have a fun, fabulous and easy centerpiece idea perfect a Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving celebration. These darling little blocks are made for dried or paper florals, as the weight of faux blooms will likely be too heavy. I put together a great post on dried floral resources here, in addition to the options linked below. One of my favorite parts about this cute little centerpiece moment is that it will look darling displayed on a shelf or dresser after the holiday festivities have passed. Scroll to follow the quick and simple tutorial!

SUPPLIES:

  • wood shapes
  • 4″ wood plaques (cut in half)
  • acrylic paints
  • paint brush
  • drill
  • dried florals

DRILL HOLES IN THE TOP OF WOOD SHAPES

I used a 1.8″ and 5/32″ drill bit to drill one or multiple holes in the top of the wood shapes. Use a piece of sand paper to buff away any wood chips after drilling.

PAINT THE SHAPES

Now the fun part – choose your colors and paint the shapes. Use a paint brush or sponge brush to bring your shapes to life.

ADD YOUR DRIED FLORALS AND STYLE!

These wood shapes are great for delicate dried florals, you could use faux florals, but would need larger wood shapes and to drill larger holes to be able to accommodate faux florals.
