What is your favorite wedding day memory?

I had the most fun taking pictures with my husband during cocktail hour. It was just relaxed and the scenery was beautiful. I also loved dancing. We had a small intimate wedding and a lot of people knew each other so everyone was dancing. We also had by far the “worst cake cut” in wedding history, so that is a fun memory.

What did you DIY for your wedding?

I DIY’d everything I could! I love crafting so I made all my bridesmaids gifts (personalized bags, wine glasses, jewelry, etc.) I etched beer glasses for the groomsmen and bought a few other things for them. I made some of my vendors personalized gifts prior to the wedding. I also made our wedding welcome sign, reserved seating signs, and personalized corn hole boards with help from my dad. I bought a silhouette (vinyl) machine while wedding planning and am so glad I did. DIY’s were one of my favorite parts of wedding planning.

Any advice for brides currently in the planning process?

You spend so much time planning all the little details before your wedding, but on your wedding day, everyone else makes things happen. I like control, but on my wedding day, I let go of control and didn’t sweat the small stuff. I also made sure to spend some quality moments with my husband throughout the day because the day goes by way too fast. -Casey, the Bride
