What is your favorite wedding day memory?

As cliche as this may sound my favorite memory was walking down the aisle towards Mikey… We had done a first look before the ceremony where we also read our vows to each other where i thought it couldn’t be any better than this. Once the song came on to walk down the aisle and I walked down the steps of the house and saw him standing there smiling back at me my heart just exploded. We both were so overwhelmed with emotion. He even shed a few tears, which I wont let him forget!

What did you DIY for your wedding?

We tried to DIY as much as we could to keep cost down but also keeping everything looking elegant. For our tables we had purchased garland from Costco to run down the picnic tables. We took empty wine bottles and scraped off all labels then spray painted them rose gold and gold. We had purchased wood table numbers that we had also spray painted gold.

The guest gifts were key bottle openers that we had bought off amazon and with a stamp that said “happily ever after” we stamped paper tags and attached the keys to them and had them placed at each table on top of their napkins. The decor in front of the sweetheart table we bought milk crates from Joann’s and spray painted them, you guessed it, rose gold and gold. We placed them in front of the table with fake greenery around them. Inside the crates we had giant Chianti bottles painted rose gold with white leaves coming out of them, some mason jars, a love sign, and lanterns.

Did you have a something old, new, borrowed and blue?

My something old and borrowed were two in one. My sister-in-law let me borrow her pearl bracelet that she wore on her wedding day. My something new was the dainty infinity necklace from Tiffany’s that my husband gifted me the morning of the wedding and my something blue was my garter that I wore under my dress.

Any advice for brides currently in the planning process?

Enjoy every moment there is, the good and the stressful because you will blink and the wedding will already be coming to an end. Really live in the moment on your wedding day. It becomes such a production with timelines it can take away from the real magic of the day, just really stop and have moments to take it all in. -Taylor, the Bride
