Dreamy and Rustic DIY Wedding in the United Kingdom

“Elisha met Jonny at a mutual friend’s band performance when they were just 16 and 15, and the rest is history! Elisha loves how her husband is brilliantly funny, and Jonny loves how she’s super sweet! The beautiful couple got engaged in Paris, with a beautiful proposal by the river, and of course, a view of the Eiffel Tower.

For their rustic wedding, they found the perfect venue for their theme and secured a date within less than 2 weeks of their engagement! The couple chose the shortest civil ceremony possible so they could get through it without crying, although they still failed! A lot of love was put into the reception with incredible DIY elements including hand cross-stitched name place cards, hand-stamped menus, table plan, centerpieces and putting together the favors themselves. They also had a spectacular 4-tier cake, alternating in vanilla and chocolate sponge with white chocolate ganache, and our favorite details are the cake decorations and toppers, which featured a Lego bride and groom holding rings, a rustic sackcloth rose and bunting!” –Giant invitations

What is your favorite wedding day memory?

My favorite memory was seeing how emotional Jonny and the family were and when the formal bit was over and we could relax and enjoy the day.

What did you DIY for your wedding?

Lots of DIY! I cross stitched all of the place names, I stamped all of the menus and the table plan and put together the wedding favors. -Elisha, the Bride
