How did you find your photographer?

I asked my Facebook friends what photographer they recommended because searching for one was overwhelming! I narrowed down a few recommendations and went with my gut instinct.

What are you DIY-ing for your wedding?

I made my “save the dates” and wedding invitations myself to save on cost, but also because it feels special doing it. Also, the difference in cost is significant! I designed and printed on my own, and I’m also planning on making any wedding signs and decor. Mike and I are also planning every detail on our own — from buying the alcohol for the bar to having his mom make the cake. I think it’s fun to plan a wedding because it’s essentially one big party, and seeing the final result makes it rewarding.

Of all your wedding plans, what are you looking forward to the most?

I’m most looking forward to locking eyes with Mike during the ceremony, where I know it’ll feel as if no one else is there, and the moment is for us, just as it was when he asked me to marry him. Also, having our friends and family celebrate with us is the icing on the cake. -Alyssa, the Bride
