Hey guys, it’s Lauren from Lauren Koster Creative, sharing the perfect trend to jump start the 2018 wedding planning season, marble details. This trend is so perfect because we are all in the fresh and clean mindset ushered in with the new year. People need a refreshing palette cleanse from the chaos of the holidays and new years resolutions bring about decluttering and clearing out, and marble is the perfect material to represent this refreshing month. Marble is a natural stone, we are used to seeing it in kitchens and baths, or on fancy sculptures and the halls of ancients buildings. Many of us think of traditional white marble with grey swirls, but marble comes in many shades, grey, brown, pink, gold and even green. Marble is also the term for the effect in which two or more colors are swirled together in a pattern, mimicking the natural stone markings. Both of these different uses of the word “marble” are trending on the wedding world. Beyond the traditional white and grey tones, we are seeing marbled paper goods, runners, cakes and beyond in a multitude of colors. But as we are talking about the refreshing January palette I kept my picks to the traditional stone marble looks. Of course you probably know that marble is not a cheap material, so I have found faux and DIY faux marble effects so you will have many options to incorporate into your wedding palette. Finally, we love this trend because it is such a neutral and natural material it can swing from traditional and romantic to modern and clean. As you scroll below you’ll probably notice the gamut of wedding styles.
