Styled Winter Wonderland Wedding at Saint Hubert’s Lodge and Club

“Saint Hubert’s Lodge and Club is one of the Hudson Valley’s coziest hidden gems. It’s off the beaten path, full of natural outdoor beauty and gives you a magical winter feeling when you enter the grounds. On my first walk-through, I was drawn to a lot of the lodge’s décor and it quickly became the inspiration for the shoot. From the animal skins and wood textures to the warm fireplaces it was like everything we needed was right there waiting for us to create something beautiful. It had this perfect winter cozy luxe vibe. To balance all of the lodge’s masculine touches, we wanted to bring in some feminine elements such as soft white flowers and touches of gold and glam. I envisioned the fireplace area in the main dining room as the perfect setting for an intimate wedding dinner post elopement. A table set for 8 with fur runners, elegant chargers, gold touches and lots of greenery and flowers for a luxe design palette and texture. I wanted it to say understated elegance with small touches of the masculine lodge decor. The antlers, animal taxidermy and custom wood furnishings were definitely going to bring that sense of masculine. The two raccoons, which I nicknamed Rocky and Roxy, were my favorite part of the design and styling. I had a couple of small details that I made myself. The small black cones filled with faux snow we made from scrapbook paper and decorated with snowflakes as a part of the snowflake send off for the newlyweds. The welcome guest basket was filled with items gathered from other aspects of the shoot that came together beautifully for a masculine touch. It included some cookies from our snowball and cocoa dessert station and beer from Mill House Brewing Company’s small bites and beer station.

Our food and beverage vision was to include some foods that complimented the Lodge’s warm and cozy vibes while being a bit festive. Mill House Brewing Company was on point with their small bites station. The chicken and waffles, mini burgers, and grilled cheese and tomato shooters were just the right comfort foods for this celebration. The dessert station really hit it home with the fun, festive, winter feel I was hoping for. The vintage sleds, furry runners, delicious coconut covered snowball cakes and create your own hot cocoa and booze, was the most fun to create. We even threw in some soft cotton knit mittens as a simple take away favor on the desert table.” –Elite Wedding and Event Planning Inspiration
