“Allie and John traveled up from Boston and were looking for a beautiful spot for their engagement session! We were so lucky to have obtained permission to shoot at the Scott Farm. This was the first time I have been there and it was breathtaking!
These two are a hoot! From our first conversation, I knew they were a couple that I wanted to work with! Allie and I have eerily similar childhoods, which really helped me get a feel for who she was. Because of our upbringings, we actually have so much in common when it comes to our “quirks”. And John, well he reminds me of my husband! Seriously, the connections we created is a strong foundation for our budding friendship!
When it comes to photos, the one thing I don’t look for is perfection. That’s right…. I don’t want the couple “perfectly posed”. Don’t get me wrong- I want the photos to be flattering and beautiful, but I would rather have an image that is authentic to the couple. It’s great how each couple is able to interpret the directions I give in their own way! I fell in love with the way John makes Allie laugh. Likewise, I also witnessed how she made him laugh too! So without further Ado…Let me Introduce you to Allie and John!” –K. Lenox Photography
How did you find your photographer?
John found Kris via Wedding Wire, and we’re so happy that we did!
What are you DIY-ing for your wedding?
Lots! Most of our decorations, table cards, decorations for the pews and church. My wedding dress in a way as well! I bought a very simple dress and have made it my own by adding pieces of my mom’s wedding dress to it.
Of all your wedding plans, what are you looking forward to the most?
Dinner, drinks and dancing! After all of the hours and stress planning we’re really looking forward to tearing up the dance floor and spending time with our friends and family who will be coming! -Alexandra, the Bride
