He popped the question! The diamond ring is blingin’ on your finger and now you’re in wedding planning mode.

Pick a venue; find a caterer; choose a cake style — your to-do list is growing exponentially and you’re still not even sure what an escort card is (they are cards that direct guests to a table rather than a specific seat).

Don’t freak out, but we have one more item to add: a little “me time” for some pre-wedding beauty prepping.

No, seriously. Glowing skin is important on your wedding day, but so is your headspace. Add a few of these beauty tips to your to-do list to get you and your skin ready for your wedding.

Wedding skincare tips! Now that I'm engaged, I want to start working towards my glowing skincare for my big day. These super easy tips are such a good start!

To Do: Book Your Favorite Facialist

It’s best to see your facialist one year to eight months before the wedding. If you don’t have a skincare routine yet, now is the time to get one.

If you have dry skin, amp up your hydration and invest in a good quality serum with hyaluronic acid to plump up your skin. To brighten, use a Vitamin C serum to get a natural, healthy glow.

If you struggle with acne-prone skin, look for gel cleansers, clay masks, and moisturizers with salicylic acid and/or benzoyl peroxide to help clear and heal blemishes.

To Do: Exfoliate and Buff Away Skin Imperfections

Aim to exfoliate your skin one to three times per week. An easy way to exfoliate is by investing in a microdermabrasion device with a diamond tip. Microdermabrasion can lighten hyperpigmentation (with continuous use), work on acne scars, even out skin tone, buff away rough patches, soften fine lines, and improve the overall quality of your skin. Trophy Skin has three microdermabrasion devices you can choose from that can help you achieve smoother, younger-looking skin: the MicrodermMD, the RejuvadermMD, and the MiniMD.

I don't have the time or the money for microdermabrasion treatments, so I love that I can do this myself! Super easy to use and way more affordable than going to the spa.

Each microdermabrasion kit comes with a standard diamond tip that ensures even exfoliation without cutting too deep into the skin. You can also purchase microdermabrasion accessories that will allow you to work on sensitive skin, angular areas of the face, and the rest of your body.

I had NO IDEA you could do microdermabrasion at home yourself! This little guy can lessen scars, help treat fine lines, even skin tone, and make your skin look refreshed! Gotta get that glowing skin.

To Do: Wear Sunscreen Daily

It’s a skin sin to skip sunscreen. Sunscreen can prevent premature lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, age spots, and of course, a nasty burn.

No matter how far along in the wedding planning process you are, it’s never too late to take some time for yourself and get into a skincare routine. Following these tips will help you look and feel your best on your big day. You glow, girl!
