Handmade Winter Wedding at the Sandhole Oak Barn

What is your favorite wedding day memory?

As we were singing a hymn leading up to vows I started to choke up as I knew what was coming. Also, having time out to ourselves to view the reception room and see our ideas and come to light and have that time together.

What did you DIY for your wedding?

We DIY’d the table settings and had gingerbread favors that had a luggage tag tied to them. We also crafted the table numbers with street names that meant something to us. For the photos as our reception, we DIY’d an area using an old wooden step ladder for our seating chart and incorporated old apple crates and table plans to showcase our photos, flowers and lanterns. We also included an instant camera so guests could snap a photo for our guest book.

Any advice for brides currently in the planning process?

Let your Groom know what you would like and use them to organize and put plans in place. -Freya, the Bride
