When it comes to getting married, the key to making your wedding unique and special is personalization. As DIY brides, customization is our jam, so today I’m super excited to share some easy and simple ways to personalize your wedding from start to finish. Using The Wedding Shop by Shutterfly, we’ve designed bridal party gifts, wedding keepsakes, and the cutest personalized wedding album.
I’m not going to lie: this is something that has been on my “to do” list since I got married; almost two years later, it’s still not done. After seeing this wedding album, I think I’ve found the inspiration I need to finally tackle this project. Every time I thought about it, I got overwhelmed by the idea of arranging each photo, one by one. The Wedding Shop’s solution for people like me is their Simple Path Design, which uses software to automatically place and arrange your photos. You can, of course, choose to arrange your photos yourself, but I am all for saving time and making things a little easier.
To make the album extra special, we tested out The Wedding Shop’s new acrylic covers; they look and feel like glass, but cost a fraction of the price. We also used their lay flat pages, which don’t cut off those (expensive, but so worth it) wedding photos. The result is a wedding album that looks like an expensive coffee table book – all starring the bride and groom!
Is a wedding really a wedding without a guest book?! Using pictures of the bride and groom, we made a guest book that also feels a little like a wedding album. Fun fact: our bridal blogger, Carli, wowed her guests with this beauty at her wedding just a few weeks ago.
To customize the guest book, we upgraded to the Mirna Morphis Storytelling Style for an additional $6. The Wedding Shop’s Storytelling Styles are a collection of over 200 themes that include backgrounds, theme “stickers,” and graphics that help you customize your project with just a few clicks of the mouse. We selected a matte finish, deluxe lay flat pages, a hard photo cover, and finished it off with a silver gift box, but there are so many options to choose from to make it your own.
Bridal Party Gifts & Keepsakes
In addition to photo albums and guest books, The Wedding Shop also offers personalized gifts for wedding parties and customized keepsakes. We designed some custom items that the bridal party and the new Mr. and Mrs. will actually want to use again.
His & Hers Luggage Tags
Kick off your honeymoon (and all the other adventures you’ll share) with these cute His and Hers Luggage Tags. You can personalize them with your favorite photos and contact information, which hopefully means no lost luggage.
If you’re looking for wedding party gifts guests will actually want, we found them! We designed a custom Monogrammed Canvas Pouch, the cutest Woodgrain Monogram Journal, and – get this – cell phone cover cases! Everyone loves a good monogram, and adding your bridesmaids’ initials to their gift is an easy and thoughtful way to recognize their contribution towards your big day.
Custom Initial Necklace
Guys, The Wedding Shop has jewelry! This minimalist necklace is so something your bridesmaids (and/or the bride!) will wear again. We chose rose gold, but this necklace is also available in gold and silver. To customize it, there’s enough room to engrave it with initials, a date, or even a special message.
Photo Paper Weight
As someone that spends a lot of time at their desk, I know firsthand how much of a difference little details can make to spruce up a workspace. This Photo Paper Weight is an easy way to share a special photo without using a traditional picture frame.
Design Your Own Tote Bag
If you have ever wanted to design your own bag, now is your chance! We designed this Lightweight Reusable Tote that holds up to 50 lbs and is machine washable. It’s perfect for running errands, traveling, and everything else you can think of!
The Designer Bride
Designing your own guestbook, keepsakes, bridal party gifts, and photo albums are simple and thoughtful ways to go the extra mile for your wedding, family, and friends. The best part? It’s also super fun! Enjoy the creative process, and when people compliment your thoughtful items, don’t forget to say “I designed them myself!”
