“Nadia and Eddie got married at Walden West in the hills of Saratoga. The couple absolutely loves the outdoors and hiking, so everything was centered around wood textures and greenery. Naseem, from Naseem events felt like it was a treat for her to work with Nadia on brainstorming how to make her venue pop. From those gorgeous oak crossback chairs, to the table numbers named after trees, to the lawn games during cocktail hour. What is your favorite wedding day memory?

My favorite memory was walking into the reception hall with my new husband for the first time. I was so excited to see the tables and all of our family and friends. When we walked in and everyone was standing and clapping for us. My heart burst. You have a photo that captures this very moment and it is my favorite photo.

What did you DIY for your wedding?

I could not find the dress I wanted so I took parts of 2 different skirts, took them apart, had them put together and then had a top made to go with the skirt. I DIY’d the the candles for the table tops and around the hall and the trees while my Sister-in-Law crafted the wedding road signs, my Mom helped with the wedding favors and my Daugher the lawn games!

What was your something old, new, borrowed and blue?

I did have a something old. It was the scent of my perfume. As weird as it sounds I wanted to smell familiar to both my groom and myself!

Any advice for brides currently in the planning process?

If you have a vision for a dress…do not let that go because you can make it happen, but most of all enjoy the moments with your friends and family and let the small mishaps go. -Nadia, the Bride
