What is your favorite wedding day memory?

I loved getting ready with my bridesmaids and family members before the big walk down the aisle with my dad! We did not do a first look, so the walk down the aisle was even more special to us as it was the first time we were seeing each other that day! It was so exciting to see him during that moment. I then loved dancing with all of my wedding guests!

What did you DIY for your wedding?

Signs, programs, beer bottle labels for the beer that my dad and husband made, the jenga guest book, table numbers and succulent favors. My favorite DIY was the beer that my dad and husband created for our wedding! They love creating their own beer so they made one called Wedding Day IPA and we served it in custom made bottles on our wedding day! It was a huge hit and one of my favorite parts of the wedding!

Did you have a something old, new, borrowed and blue?

Yes! My something old we’re my mom’s earrings I wore. My something new was my dress. My something borrowed was my cousin’s veil and lastly, my something blue was the bottom of my shoes saying Mrs. Gilbert Est. 2017!

Any advice for brides currently in the planning process?

Don’t stress, have fun planning and do what YOU want to do since it is your special day. Everyone will offer their opinions on things but stay true to what you and your partner want. Plan out as much as you can up front so that you are not stressed out! Also, read vendor reviews to help you choose the best one for your personality and style.
