Gorgeous DIY Outdoor Garden Party Wedding

“Truly a wedding where you could feel the love for sure! This couple placed emphasis on things that mattered, each other. There were tears {from the Groom!} and kisses, laughter and love. Proof that a simple wedding can be every bit as beautiful and touching as the most extravagant affair. A lot of her vendors were friends and family members, but you would never know it! Just proof that you don’t have to break the bank to have a truly beautiful event!” –Megan Manus Photography

What is your favorite wedding day memory?

Sharing the aisle with my daughter was my favorite part. I loved that she could share that moment with me.

What did you DIY for your wedding?

All of the decorations was designed and created by the bridal party and a few friends and family. My favorite added touch was the magnolia garland that we created from just rope and magnolia leaves. We had this draped down the steps at the front of the ceremony. All of the signs were handmade for this event, as well. All of the bouquets/boutineres we created and designed by the bride and the bridal party as well.

Did you have a something old, new borrowed, blue?

Yes! My something old was my Great Grandmothers Handkercheif and we wrapped it around my bouquet. My something new we’re my earrings from Premier Designs. My something borrowed was my Mother in Law’s wedding band that was wrapped around my bouquet, as well and lastly, my something blue was my garter!

Any advice for brides currently in the planning process?

If you want to save money and have a great support system, go DIY! Just make sure you have enough time to get things completed and don’t stress out! Have a few people who know what you want and can step in for you when you start to get confused, because it will happen! -Rebecca, the Bride
