“Dave and Andrea are funny, sarcastic, beautiful, committed and had some of the most memorable fun I’ve ever captured at their wedding in Broad Ripple. There were beautiful details including Jimmy Choo’s with feathers and sequins, the most stunning, modern silk crepe gown and florals that had their wedding guests gasping and pointing.” –Ashley Wittmer Photography

What is your favorite wedding day memory?

Before the ceremony, we went with our bridal party to the bar that my husband and I first met at. Our photographer got behind the bar and took candid photos of us all taking ceremonial shots together. It was a fun way to get everyone together and kick-off the day!

What did you DIY for your wedding?

My photographer, Ashley Wittmer helped me with our adorable signs for my dessert tables. Old Forest Farm did the flowers for my wedding and came through with a custom made floral garland that hung behind us while we took our vows. It was then moved inside and hung behind the head table. It was breathtaking!

Did you have a something old, new borrowed, blue?

I did! I wore an heirloom ring from my grandmother. It was assorted diamonds and emeralds in the shape of a starburst. I had loved that ring every since I was a child. I was so excited to finally be able to wear it. My sister-in-law let me borrow her grandmother’s bracelet which really meant a lot. I also had a blue brooch from my other grandmother worked into my bouquet. My new item was obviously my dress and my brand new sequined and feathered Jimmy Choos! Yes, I cared more about my shoes than my dress.

Any advice for brides currently in the planning process?

Hire a planner! My mom referred to my planner, Emily, as a ‘blessing.’ She really made the planning process fun and took all the stress off of my mom and me. Secondly, hire a photographer that you can have fun with and doesn’t give you a time limit. Ashley put my Fiance and I at such ease. She was also lighthearted and fun and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Plus, she was with us sun up to sun down the day of. She even had an assistant that traveled to a second location to photograph the groomsmen while they got ready. -Andrea, the Bride
