Gorgeous DIY-Style Holiday Tablescape

“The holidays are my absolute favorite time to entertain. I styled this shoot to showcase of all the possibilities from one set of invites and flowers with multiple sets of plates. I first started by designing a mood board, which allows me to group photos of beautiful elements and determine the exact details I want to create to design a cohesive table. In partnership with Lenox, I styled their golden waterfall for a classic, winter white look with pillar candles and tall flower displays. [Bluebird Paper Company}(https://www.bluebirdpapercompany.com/) hand-calligraphed the place cards to give a pop of color with a warm wine color. My favorite part was Dilly Lily designing our garland with flowers placed in individual tubes so I could style the garland as necessary. The tall centerpieces added height to the table, but could easily flank the buffet behind it as well for when people are seated. For a more modern look while still playing in winter whites, I used Lenox’s new line of winter radiance plates. They have a stunning marbled look to them that can be used for the holiday or so many other occasions. Our invitation suite from Bluebird Paper Company paired perfectly with these plates. I love to carry design elements through from the invitation to the table. I think it subconsciously cues a theme that guests adore. Lastly, my mother-in-law gave me her Spode plates that she’s had for years. While they are so perfectly traditional, I wanted to breathe new life into them with modern flowers that were fanciful and elegant. The balance between the two gave a hint of nostalgia with the freshness of modern-day white and warm looks. If you’re designing a table for the holidays, consider playing with the floral and paper good decor to bring your elements to life. It also helps to feel like a million bucks with someone doing your hair and makeup. I was very grateful to have Bianca from Bianca Sansosti Artistry to style me!” –The Millennial Martha
