“This is an artful, creative and floral-centric styled shoot. Inspired by textures, dutch floral paintings, and this stunner of a couture gown. The rich gold hand beaded details, shoulder chains and intricate back style inspired the dining wares: the gold leaf chargers, gold rimmed plates and stemware and flatware. When you sit down at this table, you feel the luxury and high quality of the entire tablescape, giving off that fancy hotel from 1920 feel. Lush letterpress stationary, thoughtful calligraphy, a fruitwood table that so well complements the darker tones in the floral… we really wanted to bring out the look of this incredible new venue with an artistic approach. Embracing the moody trend, but not abandoning rich color was important in the design process. The ceremony backdrop and paintings are all original, and the idea to make the backdrop come to life by attaching real flowers into the painting is something new and inspiring. The floral arrangements all look like they came straight out of a museum painting, just what we were going for. This shoot is to inspire the formal and modern couple who has a love for vintage but wants to push the trends and enjoy a beautiful and elegant and luxurious affair for their wedding day.” –Whittaker Portraits
