“Where do we even begin with Dru and Jessie’s wedding?! It was a truly magical day and it all happened at the Bonita Bay Club. It was a stunner of a wedding day and it gave us all the feels! Dru planned to have an elegant reception with candlelit tables, a jaw dropping draped ceiling and even a cigar roller for her guests to enjoy. What is your favorite wedding day memory?

My family and bridesmaids created a memory scrapbook that included individual messages from each that spanned our childhood through the day of our wedding. It was so incredibility thoughtful and reminded me of how blessed I am to have such fantastic people in my life.

What did you DIY for your wedding?

My Father had a fantastic DIY. Being the 3rd daughter {and last} to be given away in marriage, my dad expressed that he wanted to pick our father/daughter dance song but not tell me until the day of. He picked the most beautiful song and took the lyrics to create a framed ‘memory box’. Following the dance, he gave the gift to my sisters and I in front of our guests. It was such a heartfelt and special moment that it had all of us crying happy tears!

Did you have a something old, new, borrowed and blue?

For my something old and blue, I used a lace and silk handkerchief from when I was a baby to old my bouquet. My something new was our Zienna Toasting Glasses and lastly, my something borrowed we’re my earrings.

Any advice for brides currently in the planning process?

Research your vendors work, pay attention to the reviews, but inquire your vendors around the potential decisions you are making. Research can only go so far and reviews do matter, {in reason} but picking the brains of the people that know ‘the good and the bad’ behind the scenes is extremely important. -Dru, the Bride
