It’s the most wonderful time of the year: outdoor wedding season. An outdoor wedding brings extra details and planning, but if all goes well, it’s so worth it. I would know – we had ours in a backyard on a mountain (to see photos, click here).

Of all the outdoor-related details (tents, backup rain plans, traffic flows etc.), one of my biggest challenges was finding appropriate footwear. Surprising, but true. Since our wedding took place on the grass (and I refused to wear those plastic heel supports), flats were my only option.

Everything I found was too plain, not “bridal” enough, or just didn’t feel right to me. After more time searching than I’d like to admit, I ended up choosing these fabulous flats, which still make me swoon to this day.
