“I’m still swooning over this incredible engagement session with Brandon + Kaitlyn, and their darling pup, Lola. Not only are they a stunning couple with serious couple they’re also super sweet! We had the PERFECT evening at Klondike Park. Klondike is known for its uncharacteristically white sandy beaches on a still lake that couple with the tall, tree-lined bluffs, making it an amazing sunset location. I love that even though the backdrop is incredibly beautiful, it can’t outshine Brandon + Kaitlyn. They simply radiate joy + affection for one another and it was an honor to be able to document this exciting season in their lives. Kait is an Ole Miss alum and Brandon recalls “the girl in the red jacket” catching his eye at a football game the first time they met. The red jacket in these photos is the same jacket Kaitlyn was wearing that fateful fall day, a simple, but sweet nod to the moment their paths first crossed and their lives forever changed. How did you find your photographer?

We were interviewing photographers for the wedding and as soon as we met with Britt, Brandon was determined she was the right fit for us. The client for life benefit showed us that she was committed to making our day perfect.

What are you DIY-ing for your wedding?

All of our décor will be DIY! One of my dearest and long distance best friends owns Samantha Louis Designs so she is going to come in a few weeks before the wedding to get creative with me, calligraphy, signs, surprises, you name it we’re making it.

What are you looking forward to the most?

The whole experience has been fun! Starting out with venue shopping, we had so much fun looking around! I was most excited + nervous about finding my dress then I did and it was such a special time with my sister and Mom as I’m keeping the dress a surprise to everyone else until the big day! I think moving forward, all of the pieces will fall into place so I am looking forward to all the fun celebrations with family and friends. -Kaitlyn, the bride
