Two Baker’s Get Engaged!

How did you find your photographer?

We were researching photographers in our area and stumbled across Cariad Photography. We looked through their website and knew immediately that they were the ones for us. They did such an amazing job capturing the love and beauty behind the people in the pictures. We knew that she would be a perfect fit for our wedding.

What are you DIY-ing for your wedding?

My fiance and I own a bakery together, so our wedding is very much “foodie” themed. Throughout our reception, we are using giant, real whisks as chandeliers. For our centerpieces, we are distressing wooden crates to hold old glass milk jugs with flowers. We are making the cake and breakfast pastries to accompany our brunch themed wedding at night. For my bouquet and his boutonniere, we’re even including baby artichokes and whisks into them to keep the foodie theme consistent! Lastly, our guest book is a wedding cake decorating book for guests to sign. We can’t wait to see our wedding come together with all of the personalized items!

What are you looking forward to the most?

We really can’t wait to personalize and create our own day geared directly for us. We want everyone to know exactly who’s wedding they are attending, and if they know us at all… It will be crystal clear. We work upwards of 65 hours a week so the time spent together on this day and the honeymoon days to follow are priceless to us. We can not wait to spend 15 days away from work doing nothing, but loving and enjoying each other. -Kate, the bride
