I’m still in shock that this is my real life and what I get to do for a living! Seriously, I’m crying tears of pure joy as I’m typing… I’m just so grateful! I don’t typically celebrate my yearly blog-iversaries but this one really hit me. It’s been five years since that very first post. There was nothing special about that day, April 18th 2011 to be exact, it was a Monday just like today and I figured my first post should be on a Monday, lol. What came before that was a few months of owning my url and being terrified to start. So terrified in fact that I actually applied to be a virtual assistant to a few other very popular wedding blogs, that thankfully didn’t work out. I was finally so sick of being scared that I just started. Why did I care? No one was looking! And they didn’t for a while, but each and every day I still put up a post. Now five years later, quite a few people are looking… and I’m so very thankful for each and everyone of you!

Most of the supplies I use come from Michaels and so it’s only fitting that they were included in the special giveaway! I actually met a bride in my local Michaels a few weeks ago that was making one of my projects – which was SO awesome!
