Bridal Blogger // Shea’s DIY Wedding Details

Hi Bridal Babes! It. Is. Almost. The. Big. Day. {!!!} With three weeks to go from Saturday, it’s sufficient to say, we’re in the final stretch of our DIY items, signage and details. The closer it gets the more I can’t believe this 500 plus day planning process is almost over. Yet, I cannot (I, repeat, cannot) wait to get to finally marry my Groom, see this vision come to life + enjoy this bash we’ve been planning for years. {Not to mention this honeymoon we have coming up quick!} As you know, for our wedding, I wanted to keep everything simple and romantic with a casual boho vibe. That rang true for our signage, stationary + DIY’s.

Stationery

For our stationery, we kept it simple (i.e. less paper + less postage = less money). To start, we DIY’d our Save the Date’s doing a twist on Jen’s DIY seen here. We selected our wedding invitations from Wedding Paper Diva’s, which are navy to coordinate with my Groom’s suit + keep with the our overall cocktail party vibe. To keep it even simpler, we decided to forgo RSVP cards and go with the updated (and less expensive) route of e-mail RSVP’s. We set up a wedding e-mail and saved the postage!

Signage

We plan to use signage as a styled, romantic + informative detail throughout our wedding. Modern calligraphy signage will grace the ceremony with a ‘Pick a Seat, Not a Side’ sign to keep the ceremony casual yet there’s something about signage that I can’t get enough of. Also, we included lots of smaller chalkboards throughout for food + drink indicators + more.

DIY Details

When it comes to DIY details for the big day, I seriously can’t wait. These are some of the most fun pieces that I really think will make the whole day stand out + be truly unique. Since Jen has so many amazing ideas, it’s no wonder more than a few of my DIY’s came right from Something Turquoise! With some DIY’s still in the works {three weeks really sneaks up on you!}, we’ve got a few under our belt that I’m pretty excited about! A few sneak peeks below…

Guest Book Pumpkin

This is my actual DIY Guest Book Pumpkin that I can’t get enough of. Seriously – super easy to DIY + I can’t wait to have to display for years to come every fall so we can remise about our wedding. This was one of Jen’s, you can find it here.

Honeyfund Frame

Our Honeyfund Frame. Another easy DIY from Jen which you can find in this post. As you know, we have our awesome online Zola honeyfund, but it’s nice to have something {pretty} to display at the wedding for those who will want to donate on the actual day! Didn’t it turn out fabulous!?

Glass Decor

Glassware, Glassware, Glassware. For months, our lives were made of saving glassware. Then removing labels from glassware. Then spray painting glassware. See the trend? From pickle jars, wine bottles, mason jars + more. If it was glass, I was storing it. We’re in the process of spray painting some gold, some silver and some are staying clear. Check out a sneak peek below of what I’ve made so far!

Thanks Bridal Babes for following along on my planning journey! I can’t wait to have wedding photo’s to share soon! Also, I have more DIY’s to come that I’ll be sure to share after the big day arrives! I’ll be back after the wedding (and honeymoon!) sharing photos, insight + the fun of our big day!
