“I have driven past this super cute Victorian home wedding venue called The HollyHock House & Gardens for a few years, hoping that someday I would have a bride that planned a wedding in their gardens. Finally… after driving past it a couple more times I decide to contact the owners and ask if they would be willing to let me photograph an engagement session there and they immediately said YES!! So I arranged for Courtney and Collin to drive a little over two hours for their engagement session centered around this very cute and unique turquoise polka dot camper! This darling couple met in high school and nine years later he proposed!! I can’t wait for their wedding in just a few weeks!” – Karen Ann Photography

How did you find your photographer?
Collin and I are both from small towns in Wisconsin. Karen from Karen Ann Photography just happens to live near Collin’s hometown area and had photographed several people that we knew and we really liked her work!
What are you DIY-ing for your wedding?
With the help of our family we are DIY-ing our centerpieces. Our wedding has a vintage flair so we are using single flower vases of all shapes and sizes and painting them gold. We are also taking large gold sequins and scattering it around the tables. Collin and I are having a popcorn bar and with help we are designing our bins the bins for it.
What are you looking forward to the most?
Collin and I are getting married at the end of August at SentryWorld in Stevens Point. Of all our wedding plans, I am most excited about putting that white dress on and celebrating our big day with all our family and friends!!! – Courtney, the bride-to-be
