Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

It’s finally here… the end of 2014 and I hope that it was as good to you as it was to me. Packed full of amazing experiences, new friends, huge projects and so much more – I will always look back fondly on this special year. As happy as I am to take a holiday break from blogging, I am just as excited to get back to it in a few weeks and share all the big things we are working on. If you haven’t filled out our Reader Survey, please take a moment to do so – it will help make ST what you want it to be. I’m so grateful to each and every one of our readers and I want to make sure that what I’m sharing here is what you, the DIY bride is looking for so tell me what that is! Like I said I’m taking a short break to relax, hang with family and rev myself up for a brand new year… so I will happily see you all back here on Monday, January 5th!

Something Turquoise 2014 Christmas Cards

Sending holiday cards has always been special to me because my Mom always made it such a big deal. She used to take the time to beautifully hand calligraphy every single address and pack each card full of holiday glitter. When the “Causey Card” showed up in your mail box you knew you had to open it over the trash can and although it was a mess, it still made you smile. The holidays are the perfect time to share and show how much everyone means to you and I have so many people to be thankful for. So this year I teamed up with Smitten on Paper to design both my personal and blog Christmas cards; I’m obsessed to say the least. I met the gals from Smitten about 2 years ago at the Los Angeles Big Fake Wedding and we have stayed in touch ever since. They specialize in amazing custom wedding stationary of all kinds and have some of the cutest holiday cards I’ve ever seen. I had a blast working with them, explaining my ideas and seeing them come to life was so much fun. And as much as I desperately wanted to make small gifts for everyone on my list, I knew I wouldn’t have the time due to all my travels so I went to Etsy and found The Groovy Baker who created these killer turquoise, Champagne + Vanilla flavored gourmet lollipops just for me – they almost look too pretty to eat right?! I hope that all who received my little holiday gifts felt the love that I wrapped up into them. I wish you all a wonderful holiday and an amazing new year! Xoxo, Jen
