“Meghan and Brendan chose the picturesque backdrop of Charleston, South Carolina for their wedding celebration. We knew as soon as we met this fun couple that their wedding was going to be amazing! Sarah Hosch with Southern Protocol did an amazing job coordinating the details of their day. It all started with a Christian ceremony at the historic St. Mary’s of the Annunciation, and then the reception and celebration followed at Alhambra Hall in Mount Pleasant. We loved the romantic decor and vintage feel with pink, green, and cream color accents. Meghan wanted photos with the Charleston harbor in the background, so we went to Pitt Street Bridge in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant for a fun excursion with the bridal party. The newlyweds ended the night tearing up the dance floor to Rubberband, of East Coast Entertainment, and exited as exuberant guests holding sparklers cheered them on!” – Riverland Studios
“I think it would be impossible to choose one favorite memory, rather it was a collection of special moments and memories from our wedding that made the entire day perfect. I loved having time with my bridesmaids and mom getting ready before the ceremony, the anticipation of seeing my soon-to-be husband at the altar, and our reception was just as we had envisioned – everyone dancing! There were many small details that made our wedding special and unique to Brendan and I – a reflection on who we are as a couple; having my uncle marry us, being able to have our Boston Terrier, Cal, in our photos, having my mom be able to walk me down the aisle and having our favorite drink, “Painkiller” as the signature cocktail. It truly was Oh Happy Day!
..I didn’t do many DIY projects, but we did want a custom and unique look – so ETSY was my best friend! AND I had the most fabulous wedding planner!
..I did! Something old was a photo of my father, who passed away when I was 12, that my mom had put in a locket for me to attach to my bouquet. Something new was my jewelry: both earrings and bracelet. Something borrowed was my veil, borrowed from a friend. Something blue was a very special handkerchief I received from my mother-in-law, that had blue embroidery.
ENJOY IT – It’s supposed to be fun!” – Meghan, the bride
