“As soon as I met Allyson and Matt, I knew that their day would be extra special. Allyson is the sweetest and most gracious person I have ever met. For that and many other reasons, I was so excited to be apart of this for them. On the day of, I could tell it wasn’t about all the months of hard work and planning, they were truly in the moment and knew how to enjoy their day.” – Marissa DeCinque Photography

“While my whole wedding day was amazing, one moment that sticks out in my mind was seeing my husband for the first time. We chose to do a “first look” at Clark’s Landing on a dock that overlooks the Manasquan River. Our bridal parties and parents looked on and cheered as I walked on the dock to my waiting husband. We had our backs towards each other and held hands behind us. We turned around at the same time and I felt pure happiness. Seeing the way my husband looked at me put me at ease. After months of planning and preparation, our big day had finally arrived and I knew at that moment that everything fell into place perfectly…

..I tried to make things myself as much as I possibly could. I made the ceremony programs, starfish aisle decorations, my bridesmaids’ necklaces, sand dollar escort cards, note cards to “hashtag” our wedding, and the slideshow which was featured during cocktail hour. I was very pleased with the way my DIY projects came out. It definitely required patience and trial and error to get it right, but it was worth it – I got a lot of positive feedback from my guests!

..My something old was my grandparents’ wedding pictures, which I attached in a locket to my bouquet. My dress was my something new – what bride’s isn’t!?! I wore white lingerie with the word “bride” embellished in blue crystals as my something blue and my something borrowed was a beautiful white gold bracelet that belongs to my Mom…

Throughout the day, step away from the excitement and have some private moments with your husband. The day goes by quickly so take time to enjoy and reflect as you watch your guests, who are all there to celebrate YOU! This will be the happiest day of your life—take in and capture all of the little moments!
