“When Michelle and Steven got out of the car for their engagement session at Rosemary Beach, Florida… they were a little nervous, as it was their first professional session. They looked absolutely wonderful and are clearly so much in love that it made my job easy! After several jokes and stories, the ice melted and we had a fun and super romantic session! Oh, and lucky them – it was the only dry beautiful day during their whole vacation down in Florida!!!” – Alena Bakutis Photography

“So Steven and I decided that when we booked our trip to Rosemary Beach, that’s where we wanted to take our engagement photos. The beach is gorgeous and I thought it would be so romantic with the sunset and the water. With the scenery alone I knew our photos would stand out! I started to research photographers in the area and saw Alena’s site and fell in love! She has such a great eye and when I saw all her perfect poses for couples, that’s when I knew I had found the one! Her style seemed to capture moments instead of posed pictures and that’s what we were looking for. Also I loved how she had tons of ideas on her Pinterest for me to follow and add to my lookbook…

..One of my girlfriend’s saved the bottoms of her wine glasses from her wedding, that she had used as table arrangements and I’m going to borrow those for ours. Also I want to place small votive candles all along the aisle of our ceremony. As going away favors for our guests, I want to do flavors of all things Georgia; peaches, a bag of peanuts and a small bottle of Coke!

..I can’t say there is just one really. I have to admit and maybe it’s because I’m a girlie girl, but one of  my favorite experiences was dress shopping with my Mom. It was a such a great mother – daughter experience and it really became emotional especially when we both knew it was the “one”.  I remember her just saying, “wow” – when I walked out and then the tears fell!  I originally had an idea in my head of what I thought I wanted and my mom had hopes of something else and I actually ended up choosing more of the style she had thought of! I guess mom know best! But ultimately, on the day of our wedding – it will be my favorite moment when I can say that me and my best friend are official! Seeing his face and reading his emotions right before I walk down the aisle are what I’m looking forward to the most! I can’t wait to start my life with him and I ‘m so happy and blessed for what’s to come!” – Michelle, the bride-to-be
