..I have always loved doing little arts and crafts and with everything on Pinterest these days, I went a little crazy with my DIY ideas. Luckily I had the help of my husband on a lot of the projects. Throughout the planning process I’ve learned that he puts me to shame in arts & crafts! We did a lot of the wedding paper ourselves – placecards, table numbers, advice cards, chalkboard signs for our guestbook table, tabletop mr & mrs sign for our sweetheart table, cones for our petal toss during the ceremony recessional, and programs (fans to keep our guests cool at our outdoor summer wedding). I also made some stuff for my bridesmaids too – a box with a photo collage and little items that reminded me of each girl, personalized shot glasses for our bachelorette party, and a tote bag with all kinds of goodies for their day of wedding gift!

..Like I said, we recently moved to Colorado. We were so excited to see all of our friends and family again – many for the first time since the big move, which was over 6 months ago! Also we had a destination wedding and chose Maui because it is our favorite vacation spot – it’s just such a relaxing, peaceful, and beautiful place – and we were excited to go back! And of course we both looked forward to the honeymoon too – a week and a half to just be together as husband and wife, focused on us, with no distractions from anyone or anything else.
