I am obsessed with the sea, everything in it, and everything that surrounds it. One of my favorite things to see is a ‘classy’ nautical or beach themed wedding – so of course I was thrilled to feature this shoot! The combination of vibrant florals, blue table cloth and organic driftwood makes this table scape compelling just like the ocean. I find it interesting that the addition of a piece of striped navy blue ribbon to the bouquet screams ‘nautical’ – remove that one detail and the theme disappears. The minimalism of this shoot is what makes it appealing.

Our vision with this styled shoot was inspired by World War II sailors and that famous New York kiss. The wedding dress is vintage, the broach is from the 1930’s, and the groom is an actual proud US Navy sailor. We kept the colors and accents nautical – with a slight vintage feel.
