DIY | rock candy favors

Easy, cute, inexpensive and appropriate for any style event, especially vintage! These can also help with your seating cards, this is an easy way to make sure that each person sits at not just the correct table, but the correct seat.

Supplies:

  • rock candy: CandyWarehouse.com has many color choices starting at $0.50 each
  • 2″ x 10″ clear treat baggies: BakersNook.com
  • any color paper strips cut to 1/2″ x 3″
  • scissors
  • brads
  • pen
  • paper piercer: Making Memories sells a great one here.

I measured the length of the rock candy stick, then cut the bag so that the wooden end of the candy would stick out.

Insert your candy stick into the cut bag. Squish the bag tight around the wooden stick, then wrap 1″ of the paper tag around the back side. Put on a pad or piece of cardboard and with your paper piercer, pierce a hole for the brad making sure that the plastic is grabbed as well. Insert the brad. This will hold the plastic tight around the base of your favor.

DIY wedding favors

Write your guests name and cut the tag shorter, depending on the length of each guests name. Place on table.
