“There is just something about a coastal wedding that excites us! When planning this beautiful shoot, we knew we wanted to include a sailboat, but we didn’t want the shoot to represent the typical nautical style you normally see. We wanted to rid ourselves of the anchors and rope and find a way to bring a few elegant details to the forefront. We knew sea glass was one of the details we absolutely wanted to incorporate. Actually, sea glass became one of our main inspirations! From the table numbers, to the name “cards” {or in this case sea glass we used in place of the cards} and don’t forget the beautiful addition of sea glass that made our cake POP with beauty and texture. Though we opted out when it came to the typical nautical theme, we still wanted to incorporate very small details of the sea such as sand, shells and driftwood. We also wanted the florals to be playful while yet light and airy. We wanted it to look like they had been plucked straight from the sea dunes themselves. We decided to go with an assortment of Amaranth, Dahlias, Scabiosa, Eryngium, Tillandsia, Eucalyptus, Proteas and a unique touch by adding free turbine shells. Our colors we’re cream, blue and sage green with a hint of gold. The Atlantic Beach Country Club was the perfect setting for our shoot dice their color pallet matched so well with our choice of colors. We hope you enjoy this labor of love. Each vendor put their heart into every detail and we are very proud of the outcome.” –The Veil Wedding Photography
