Bridal Blogger // Wedding Styling with Eucalyptus

Hi Bridal Babes! As I mentioned in my previous wedding style post, I am loving all things eucalyptus. And when I say love, even that is an understatement. From my wedding style board on Pinterest, I noticed that if it was covered, decorated or accented with eucalyptus, I was pinning it.

When we first got engaged, I said numerous times, “We’re going to be outside so we won’t need flowers. I’m not that big on flowers. Flowers aren’t my main focus. Wait, do I even like flowers?!” {These are the kinds of thoughts you have when wedding planning as I’m sure many of you can relate. Questioning your likes and dislikes about…well, flowers. Not to mention eyeing every lantern I’ve seen in the last six months wondering, how tall is that one? How many candles do you think it holds? :) …!}.

Well, I was partially wrong. I love eucalyptus. Silver Dollar, Seeded, Baby Eucalyptus — the list goes on. There’s something so effortless, vintage and soft about it. It doesn’t seem as traditional and overwhelming {or expensive} as floral covered everything, but adds a touch of chic that a wedding {party} needs.

Not sure which is which? Here are the top three types of eucalyptus most commonly used for decor:

I’ve listed a few of my favorite ways to style with eucalyptus below. We plan to use it to accent signage, hang over our ceremony spot in a lush, romantic garland and be a textured garland on a few accent tables.

In addition to the eucalyptus, we’re also planning on accenting with blush flowers. Since we don’t have ‘wedding colors’ per se, we again, looked at the overall feel of our wedding and pretty, effortless pastels seem to fit right in. Not to mention, how gorgeous are those soft, blush garden roses?! We’re using some blush garden roses in my bouquet {seen below}, topping our mini cut cake, as well as some florist choice {i.e. budget friendly} blush colored flowers in bud vases to accent our tables.

What types of flowers are you using {or not using} at your wedding? I’d love to hear! Thanks Bridal Babes! I’ll see you in three weeks chatting about what goes into having a wedding at a house!
