“There is nothing I love more than getting to photograph an old friends engagement! Jay Pyard has been a wonderful friend of mine since elementary school and I’m so excited to call her fiance Michael Garber a new friend as well. Jay and Michael met through her softball team years ago and have been building a beautiful relationship ever since. After crossing our fingers for clear skies the entire day of our shoot, it was such a blessing to spend the afternoon talking, laughing and photographing the obvious love between these two in the beautiful sunshine. The sweet tooth they share is what inspired this candy picnic. This shoot is light hearted, sweet and genuine – all words I would use to describe this couple. So happy to be apart of this adventure with you Jay and Michael!” – Kylie Chevalier Photography
“I met Kylie back in elementary school, ever since I met her she has always been so artsy and creative! We became really good friends growing up, going through middle school and high school together. Once I became engaged I knew instantly who would be my photographer! Once my husband-to-be and I announced our engagement, it was Kylie who e-mailed me first and all the amazing ideas started flowing from there! Kylie’s vision is always spot on and above and beyond!
..I’m doing a few DIY projects, my family and I have always been DIY kind of people. Our wedding is planned mainly around sunflowers and the color yellow. We will be making and arranging our own bouquets, which we’ll be supplying from a local flower supplier in LA, as well as all the centerpieces on our tables – which will be mason jars wrapped in lace and burlap, some with candles in them or sunflowers. I’m also making a few chalkboard signs to place through out the wedding. And for my sweet tooth, we are creating a candy bar for favors for our guests…
..Besides getting married to my best friend, I’m excited to see it all come together! I can’t wait to see the outcome of all our hard work and everyone enjoying it! Not to mention the candy bar!” -Jay, the bride-to-be
