Lindsey and Josh were married at The Beach Plum In in Chilmark with views that took your breath away. Their ceremony was filled with love and beauty all around, and was officiated by a dear friend. Fields of daisies surrounded them as they shared their wedding vows they wrote for each other. The weekend unfolded with more sweet details than you could imagine… this wedding was truly the definition of intimate, elegant, classic and inspiring.” – Hitched Studios

Lindsey’s Jenny Packham dress is to die for and it fits her beautifully. I’m in love with her accessory decisions as well; her bold earrings, gorgeous side bun and simple bracelete accentuate the design of the dress without overwhelming her look.

“Its hard to pick one favorite moment!! But I’ll have to say it was our ceremony and writing our own vows. We had our good friend Scotty Bernadeau officiate and really let him take the reigns on the format and content. I was blown away with how personal, touching, emotional and humorous he made it. I was very very nervous writing my own vows but looking back so thankful we did and have those memories. I knew the ceremony would be touching and special but was so surprised by how much it meant to me…

I had a few DIY projects and would definitely recommend to any bride, creative or not, to add a DIY touch to their special day. It makes the day feel like your own and very personal.. it adds a special touch that you can be proud of. My favorite was the welcome bags we created. My sister and I traveled to the vineyard a few days early and had some quiet time to prepare them. We got lobsters, clam chowder (which was extra special as she has never been to the Cape or Islands and NEVER had lobster or Chowder!! crazy right!!???), and wine one rainy night and created these bags together. They were filled with Vineyard and Cape Cod related snacks (chips, candies etc), drinks (a cape codder of course :-), maps, a welcome letter, beach towel, frisbee, body wash… etc… they were the perfect DIY-ed touch.

My advice would be to take one task at a time and try to enjoy planning. Try to make each task fun in its own way. Laugh, smile, stay positive and RELAX because its a lot of work and it will be stressful if you let it be. Have faith that everything will come together in the end and it will be a beautiful event with your family and friends. Your the only one who knows what the day is “supposed” to look like and as long as everyone has a good time and its a good party that is all that matters!” – Lindsey, the bride
