real wedding video | michael + jackie

I am so exited to share Michael + Jackie’s breathtaking wedding video with you today! Not only is this the first video I have ever shared on Something Turquoise, but it is one of my favorite wedding videos, period. There is a great story behind this video, the groom is actually a videographer… but obviously couldn’t be behind the camera. So his crew, Kenny and Marty filmed this special day… and Michael did the editing. Grab a few tissues, watch the video, and then read the rest of my thoughts below…

I have seen a LOT of wedding videos… and this one is different. I think the reason it feels so touching is because the groom himself did the editing. Through this short film you can really see how much he loves his bride Jackie, and why he loves her. Watching it over and over to write this post, the tears kept falling down my cheeks because you can tell that their love is real. To me, it feels like I am watching a movie and I just want to see more. Reading Michaels thoughts on his wedding day and the importance of photography and videography, from a vendor’s standpoint and now as an ex-groom; is right on. All you have left after this special day is the photography… make sure that all your efforts in planning and dreaming about your day are well documented.

Don’t you LOVE the arch that M + J were married under!!?? Michael, his father, brother, and brother in-law built it themselves out of driftwood that they found on the beach near by!
