Stunning Winter Wedding at the McGranahan Barn

What is your favorite wedding day memory?

This question is really hard to answer because there were so many special things about that day! I would probably have to say our first look. I remember how excited I was for him to see my dress and how long I had waited for that moment! I had butterflies right before I walked out of the door for the first look.

What did you DIY for your wedding?

We had a lot of help from friends and family DIY-ing! A few things that come to mind are wooden signs, our cornhole boards, gift sacks for hotel rooms and chapsticks.

Did you have something old, new borrowed and blue?

Yes! For my something old, my Great Aunt passed away a few months before our wedding unexpectedly and I pinned a pendant of hers to my bouquet. My something new we’re my earrings. My something borrowed was my Mom’s diamond bracelet and my something blue was a blue bow sewn on my garter.

Any advice for brides currently in the planning process?

Be in the moment! It goes so fast and can be so chaotic that there’s things I can barely remember! If I could go back and do it again I would relax and just take it all in. -McKinlee, the Bride
