How did you find your photographer?

We spent a lot of time researching, and stumbled upon Aaron’s page in our search. We absolutely loved his pictures – they stood out in the best way from everything else. His use of color and artistic touch were remarkable. We knew we wanted our pictures to be memorable, so we reached out to Aaron immediately. Not only are his photos amazing, but we didn’t have to think twice upon meeting him – his personality was so warm and he knew exactly what he was doing.

What are you DIY-ing for your wedding?

From the beginning, we envisioned a sleek and modern theme, and every design element was planned by us with this in mind with the help of our amazing vendors to help execute. Our website was built by us from scratch with Aaron’s pictures as our base. For our invites, we worked on the design together, and Megan did the calligraphy for the envelopes. We are so lucky to have an amazing venue, The Natural History Museum. We feel the space speaks for itself in so many ways, that we only wanted to add small touches to enhance it. Our centerpieces are mostly medium arrangements mixed with bud vases, and we created name cards for guests to be held up by gold dinosaur figurine magnets we found on Etsy! We have acrylic table numbers with wood stands that we spray painted gold to match our theme.

We also opted for a DIY dessert buffet of everything that satisfies our personal sweet tooth! It will include donuts, cookies, and more – all from places that we love and frequent.

What are you looking forward to the most?

Celebrating with all of our friends and family. It’ll be great to see months of planning come together in one unforgettable day. -Megan, the Bride
