I think its just darling how the photographer caught the boys trying to figure out how to tie their bow ties… I’m sure looking back for them it was a great moment.

What was your favorite part of your wedding day? Of course, the ceremony was the most meaningful. It’s unbeatable – especially that first look at my groom! I also really loved driving away in our getaway car with my husband, being able to look back and see the tent and the beautiful shining sparklers lighting up the night by all of our friends and family. It was so special for both of us…

What is your advice to brides currently in the planning process? Although it feels like you can plan everything to a tee, something will still not go according to your meticulous plans! Roll with the punches and remember that the things that are a little off-kilter will be the things that you look back and laugh about the most. – Courtney

What was the favorite part of your wedding day…? It’s so hard to narrow down a specific moment, because there were so many great ones!  There was just so much happiness and laughter, that is what I remember most vividly.  I just felt so lucky to be celebrating with so many of our friends and family in a beautiful location, with great music, and delicious food and drinks!  Looking around seeing everyone having so much fun, relaxing, and enjoying themselves made me feel like our day was perfect.

What advice do you have for current brides….?  Don’t take your wedding celebration too seriously, and don’t feel badly about skipping traditions that don’t feel authentic to you.  If you give yourself DIY projects to complete, make sure they are things you will enjoy doing and can execute well.  Think about your vendors carefully, and choose people you want to support and whose work you respond to.  And, of course, try to have fun and enjoy yourself while you’re in the planning process!top wedding blog

I’m so excited to share Dan and Stephanie’s wedding with you today. So simple and so sweet, this wedding looked like it was a blast! I love Stephanie’s ‘something blue’ shoes, the vegas sand that they took home as a memento, and of course the double decker bus ride! Make sure to read Stephanie’s great advice below – I couldn’t agree more! Huge thanks to Meg Ruth for sharing this adorable day with us!

What was the favorite part of your wedding day…?  The double decker bus ride was definitely the favorite part of my wedding day. We opted to have a smaller wedding with only family, so it was amazing to be able to share such a fun and unique experience with our loved ones. All of our family members raved about it, and thought that it was such a unique addition to our big day. It also doubled as our transportation to and from the ceremony venue, and surprisingly was much less expensive than renting limos or a big coach!

What advice do you have for current brides….? Don’t skimp on your photographer. If you are going to splurge on anything, photography is the thing! I cannot tell you what an amazing response we have gotten from friends and family about our wedding photos. Meg was the sweetest thing the entire day, and her photos speak to what a talented photographer she is. I have friends who decided to choose their photographer based on price and not quality. They are so regretful that they didn’t spend a little bit extra, as they were unhappy with their photos. *Another tip is to utilize wedding message boards such as those found on theknot.com. I planned my entire Vegas wedding from NYC in only 4 weeks. There is no way that I could have done it without the advice of the brides online!

Wow, this wedding is stunning! From the drop dead gorgeous bridal party to the fantastic private estate… and how about the radical green shorts of the groomsmen!!! This beautifully modern wedding was captured by one of my favorite photographers, Scott Lawrence Photographs. The best detail of the day, has to be the elaborate ceremony alter – the grand white sash and chandelier make the perfect background to say ‘i do‘! Scott, thank you so much for sharing this beautiful wedding with us today!
