“Everything came together beautifully for Brenda and Kasey’s engagement session. Their choice of outfits, sweet props, and glowing light created the perfect back drop to showcase their love. As a wedding coordinator, Brenda knows how to envision the perfect event and will have tons of great DIY details to personalize their day. They are some of the sweetest and easy going people, and we are honored to photograph their wedding this fall!” – Walking Eagle Photography

“Well, I am a Wedding & Event Director/ Coordinator in Carlsbad and through-out the 7 years of experience I have worked with MANY photographers and vendors, and it wasn’t until I met Laura and Clay from Walking Eagle Photography – that I fell in love with any photographer or photo. I have done many weddings and events with the two of them and each time we work together they are always calm, passionate and focused. They are so sweet, reasonable and most importantly talented. I can’t say enough, and my pictures speak lengths of their work, I’ve even had people message me on Facebook and email asking me about my engagement photos because they are so unique and impressive…

..OH YES! haha!

Well, like I said I am a wedding coordinator and I have coordinated weddings of all shapes and sizes. So with that said I know how important and special it is to customize and embellish your wedding with the brides and grooms hobbies, interests and personality. My fiancé is a landscaper and LOVES plants and designing with plants, so we will have a lot of plant walls, potted succulent gifts and plants incorporated through-out our florals. We are also getting crafty and making our agenda on used pallets, creating mixed linen backdrops, and the list could really go on. Something near and dear to our heart is the Chile infused tequila we are making for our specialty drink. We fell in-love with “Chili-Margs” over a year ago and it’s our go to when we are looking to enjoy a sunset drink or meet with some friends, so we have been practicing infusing our own tequila with various chilies and flavors and hopefully we master this in time for the wedding!

..Our wedding will be held at Leo Carrillo Ranch in Carlsbad California. The location is a perfect mix of beauty, rustic and calm. Our setting will be heavy floral and plants (at my fiancé’s request), with gold and blush touches, and we have 9 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen (yikes!). With all of the love, beauty and support around us I can’t wait to see my fiancé for the first time at a special and private first look, I can’t wait to exchange our personal vows, toast with a margarita and share our love under the summer stars with our closest family and friends!” – Brenda, the bride-to-be

“Jessica and Evan are so cute! You can tell how happy they are just by looking at them ~ all smiles and laughter! Before we did their engagement session, Evan told us he’d be leaving for in India in a few weeks for his job and Jessica would be meeting up with him later in the summer so the two of them could do some traveling before their October wedding. They drove from Chicago to Door County to do a shoot with us at Cave Point Park and with all of this traveling we thought using vintage suitcases as props would be the perfect addition to their engagement pics! We all had so much fun with this shoot!” – Ping Photography

“Planning our Wisconsin wedding from Chicago, we discovered Ping & Soirsce the good, old-fashioned way… through Google! Their portfolio expressed such a unique perspective and personality, and we knew that they would be a perfect match from the very start. We feel so lucky to be working with Ping & Soirsce, such talented, caring, and fun people!

..We’ve taken it upon ourselves to bring our vision of rustic elegance to life. From a ten-hour playlist that’s nine months in the making, to a made-from-scratch photo booth, to sourcing and measuring table linens, we’re doing it all. We’ve scoured dozens of thrift stores and garage sales from Green Bay to Southeast Wisconsin. It’s been a lot of fun, and we have our dearest friends and family to thank for helping to bring things together.

..More than anything, we can’t wait to have all of our friends and family join us in dancing the night away as MR & MRS!” – Jessica, the bride to be

“We found Patty of Petula Pea Photography on Yelp while searching for photographers. Her story and work caught our eye, and we knew she would be the right person to capture our new beginning. She is absolutely amazing! We feel so blessed to be able to work with her. She makes you feel so comfortable & we cannot wait until the wedding in June!

..Yes, many details of the wedding are DIY! We have made our own sequin napkin holders, purchased frames and printed numbers for the tables. In addition, we are making our own seating chart for guests by using a window frame and hanging flowers in between each list. We are designing our own arch for the ceremony by using ivory sheer drapes gathered by flowers. Other projects are party favors, decoration signs (quotes) and thank you cards…

..Mike and I will be married June 14th, 2014. What we are looking forward to the most is gathering all of our family and close friends together to celebrate this very special day. What also makes this day special to us is having such a great support team wanting to help us plan and take part in our day. For our catering we chose, Outback Steakhouse because I have a close relationship with the owner as I used to nanny for her two children. Our DJ (Gig Entertainment) is a childhood friend of my parents. Picking our wedding cake was easy… my mom growing up knew the owners of VG donuts, and they were more than happy to design our 3 tiered cake. My grandmother owns Oceanside Florist right off Coast Hwy, so that was a no brainer. We are so blessed for her along with my mom and aunts who work there with her, who will be making all our floral décor just perfect. I am actually her first grandchild to be married ;) – Kimberly, the bride-to-be

“Ashley is one of the greatest joys in my life. I’ve known her since we were both super, super young. Whenever I see this girl (which is like once every two months-ish) I am immediately safe in my own skin, and free to be myself around her. A year ago yesterday, she met a strapping young man named Scott at a Krispy Kreme race – run 5 miles, eat a dozen donuts, and then run 5 more – or something like that. He was a kind, English man who stole her heart, and transformed her current life. I loved being kept in the loop of their first dates (with the “What should I wear?” texts, and pictures of different outfits). “Glow in the dark” golfing at night, in the pouring rain was their first date. He planned out special trips to the zoo, and the finale was taking her on a crazy, amazing trip around NYC a week before Christmas. He gave her 6 or 7 clues which took them to the top of the Empire State building, ice skating in Central Park, an amazing restaurant overlooking all of NYC, worlds best cup of coffee (From the movie “Elf”) and then he proposed to her with a bright green emerald ring in front of the Rockefeller Christmas tree. Scott is an absolute joy to be around. Photographing them is like eating my favorite candy. I’m not kidding. It’s easy, it’s gorgeous, it’s perfect, and I could seriously photograph them for hours and hours and it wouldn’t feel like work.

They were married last June and it was unlike any wedding I’ve ever been to.

…So about this shoot, I took them to a friends piece of property, which is like a photographer play ground. Old beautiful house, open fields, bird houses, porch swings, large boulders, wheat fields, woods, ivy ~ Lake Norman. I mean…. sigh. I was in heaven. The sky was cloudy, then sunny, then golden, then blue, then dark. It was freezing and fabulous.”- Tirzah Photography
