What is your favorite wedding day memory?

When we had our “You May Now Kiss the Bride” moment and my husband got my pink lipstick all over his mouth, we were laughing trying to get it off. Don’t forget liquid lipstick that dries ladies!

What did you DIY for your wedding?

I DIY’d our wedding favors and invitations. My husband build a wooden frame which I hung ropes from and then took small glass globe terrariums and put tiny succulents inside and hung them off the ropes, they were a huge hit! I made my own center pieces, and table numbers also. Our cake toppers were a Mexican day of the dead bride and groom that we got while we were on vacation together in Mexico.

Did you have a something old, new borrowed, blue?

I never managed to find something old, but my new was my veil and dress, my friend who got married the year before let me borrow a lace hair pin of hers, and my something blue was a small sapphire tear drop necklace.

Any advice for brides currently in the planning process?

Don’t worry about things being absolutely perfect, or forgetting something. Everyone is there to celebrate you and have a good time, they won’t even notice! Also, it all goes by so fast, enjoy the moment! -Darryll, the Bride
