“These two are a real couple who were the winners of an anniversary session giveaway that Peterson Design & Photography did to celebrate 5 years of our photography business! Kim and Brad have been married for three years and have adorable one year old twins, Quinn and Brooke! She has followed our work for years and was so excited when we did our giveaway and even more excited when they won! Unfortunately, their wedding photographer was not as professional as they had hoped so although they were happy with a few photos, they really wanted a re-do! We worked together with Jane of Jane Alexandra Events to put together a styled vow renewal where these two could come together and celebrate their marriage in an intimate beach setting. We started our concept behind the shoot with Kim’s desire to have photos at the beach and her love for the color green and unique rocks and geodes. Then we combined these elements with our wonderful other vendors to put together a session with both vintage and modern geometric touches incorporating watercolor to reflect the setting. Victoria at Paper Moon Shoppe worked with us to create a geometric watercolor ceremony backdrop inspired by some of her other vintage moon designs. Toast Party Rentals provided the perfect pieces to provide some vintage flair, and Darlingtonia Designs created the most beautiful, cascading floral pieces incorporating some of Pantone’s color of the year, Greenery. The geode cake by Katherine’s Sweets was out of this world complete with pink and green accents to tie together the whole session.
