Happy DIY Friday lovelies! Today’s project is ultra romantic and coming to you just in time for Valentines Day… but what’s even better about today’s project is the new printer I’m using! Canon just released the TS9020 Printer (along with three other fabulous printers) and not only did I get one – but you might get one too! That’s right, we’re giving one away this week in your choice of RED or WHITE as our Valentines gift to you! While you’re getting inspired by the post below… just know that I’m geeking out over my new toy and having a blast printing all the things!
Romantic Gift Idea For All Occasions
Whether you’d like to make these for Valentines Day, maybe for an Anniversary or a birthday, your partner will love them! I mean, you really don’t need a “reason” to give something special to your favorite person… but those are good reasons!
- Canon TS9020 Printer
- 8.5″ x 11″ White Cardstock
- Paper Trimmer
- Glue Dots
- Cutting Mat
- Perforator Tool
- Cutting Mat
- Our FREE printable files at the end of the post!
Print The Coupons
Here I’m using my new Canon PIXMA TS9020 Printer to print all the Love Coupon designs, there are 6 pages total that need to be printed on 8.5″ x 11″ white cardstock. This new compact printer doesn’t just print like a dream, it looks gorgeous and is SUPER compact, which I’m loving!
Perforate The Edge For Tearing
OMG. YES. I’M DYING. This is the best new crafting tool I’ve bought in a long time!!! In one quick swipe you can perforate paper, adding the perfect “tear” detail to your craft – which is ideal for these coupon books. Working on a cutting mat, align your ruler over the marks provided and perforate all three cards at once! Do all the coupon pages before you cut them out.
Cut Out All Pieces
After you’ve perforated all the coupons, cut out each booklet element using a paper trimmer.
Fill In The Expiration
If you’d like… you can add an expiration date, LOL. Or you can simply add that they never expire!
Assemble The Booklets
For the little binder piece, if you have a scoring board, you can score the fold, if not, simply fold around the cards. Place the cards together including the back and front covers and staple the end twice. Then adhere the binder using a few Glue Dots. That’s it – you’re done… isn’t it darling!
…and the best part is that the recipient gets to literally tear off each coupon as if this booklet was store bought… but it’s not… it’s better because it’s handmade!
Fill In Your Own Coupons
For our true creative (or adventurous) types out there, we’re also sharing blank coupons that you get to fill-in yourself. Add a few to our coupon ideas or make them all up yourself!
Such A Romantic Gift
I’m not sure if you’ve taken that Love Language test or not, but for those who’s preferred language is “acts of service” – this project would be the ULTIMATE gift!
