Registering for your wedding is SO much fun, or it least it should be. The biggest hurdle to cross will be you and your wonderful fiancĂ© deciding and agreeing on an overall style for your new home and what items should end up on your registry. There are so many different elements that you can scan onto your list, sometimes it can be overwhelming. The first place I recommend starting is your tabletop because it’s easy to build from there. If you’re lucky enough to have a groom who leaves the style decisions up to you, then bravo. But if you have a stylish groom who has his own opinions on what your home should look like (like I do), it can get tough. A great question to ask is “Do you see yourself as… a rustic, modern or maybe even an eclectic couple?” Or is there another term or a combination of terms that best describe your overall style? You might have heard that me and the hubby just moved and are finally in a place where we can truly express our creative personalities, and we’ve decided that we are a mix of artistic, eclectic and nautical. The one thing that has helped us narrow our style choices and get inspired is Pinterest – of course right. But in all honesty it’s so easy to search and find things that you are attracted to, pin and then show each other. I actually just convinced him to buy a turquoise couch because I showed him a killer picture of one on Pinterest, so yay me! After you decide on an overall theme for your home, and possibly a color palette, it’s super easy to then find items that fit – almost like deciding on a wedding theme!

Although they can’t help you and your fiancĂ© agree on a style, Crate & Barrel truly makes the wedding registry process a breeze from start to finish. Sign up is easy and can be done online of course, but if you sign up in-store they will actually gift you with a pair of wine glasses! From there you can add items while you’re in-store, online or even from your mobile phone. Download their app to track your registry and edit your list – no matter where you are. After your wedding, if you still have much needed items left on your registry or you see a brand new item that you can’t live without, you’ll receive 10% off almost everything in-store and online for 6 months after your wedding date. Sounds awesome right? Well, it is and I would know because I personally hosted my registry with them.

Today I’ve made 3 themed boards to inspire you and give you a starting place on trying to identify your “couple style”. I challenge you to make something similar (or just pin the items to one board on Pinterest) so that you can visually see the way everything looks together, if you like it great, if you don’t keep working. After you have all your gorgeous new items in your brand new home, you’ll be glad you took the time to fully style them!
