Bouquet Blueprint | Long flowing ribbons

Spring has sprung and we are well on our way to summer, it’s such a magical time of year. And we feel that this bouquet perfectly embodies that special time between the two seasons. Sometimes a bridal bouquet isn’t all about the flowers but more the overall impact the arrangement makes. This hand tied bunch is made of mainly wild flowers and is very cost effective yet it has an extreme visual value created from the long trails of colorful ribbon… are you surprised that they are turquoise?

AVAILABILITY // All of these beautiful flowers are available year round and in many different shades – making it a very adaptable arrangement.

RECIPE // 10-12 geranium leaves, 10 stems pale yellow stock, 1 bunch light blue delphinium, 6 stems ambiance roses, 1/4 bunch green hypericum berry, and a few yards of various ribbons in coordinating shades.

CARE // This bouquet has some flowers that are sensitive to lack of water. It’s best to keep the bouquet in a small amount of water until you are ready for pictures or to walk down the aisle. Be sure to keep a small towel ready to dry off the stems so no water gets on your dress!

BOUTONNIERES // Texture is the star in this bouquet and should also translate into the boutonnieres. Roses are very traditional flowers for boutonnieres however the “ambiance” roses are very large and can be difficult to wear on a lapel. The three boutonniere examples here are made from the small elements of the bouquet (Hypericum berries, delphinium and stock). Ribbon is also a key element to the boutonnieres to help tie in with the bouquet.
