Clean, rebrand.

Easy to see, easy to read and oohh so pretty… what do you think? I’m obsessing over my new turquoise color!

Responsive

What does that mean you ask? It means that the website/blog is specifically built to know how you are viewing it. So if seen from an iPhone, iPad or desktop – you will have the best user experience for the device you are on. It also makes the site super fast!

Search

OMG. Finally, a thumbnail style gallery search! It’s now totally easy to find whatever content you are looking for.

Get Social #somethingturquoisediy

Up in the left hand corner of the site is a little tab that reads “Get Social” – and you should! Actually you already have been… so many of our awesomely crafty readers have shared great pics of their versions of our DIY projects using the hashtag #somethingturquoisediy and in just a few days you will be able to see them ALL on that page! Want to participate? All you have to do is take a picture of a project you have created using one of our tutorials and post it on Instagram, Twitter or Pinterest using the hashtag above! #socool #sharingiscaring #welovehashtags

Truncated Home Page

Our content can get way too long in the tooth if you know what I mean. So now you will only see each days full post and then 9 truncated post thumbnails – making browsing for new content quick and simple.

Badges

Everyone loves a badge and we have 6 new designs to share! If you are a DIY bride, a vendor, a published bride, an Etsy Wedding Artist, or just a lover of Something Turquoise – there is a badge for you! Go grab one now!

Etsy Wedding Artists

I’ve saved the best for last! This is the most exciting part of the new site… the Etsy Wedding Artists Gallery – approved artisans for your big day and beyond! Through the bride interviews I conduct for features, I heard over and over that brides where flocking to Etsy to help plan their handmade weddings. I found a few scenarios, either the bride couldn’t make something herself, she didn’t want to take the time to make it, or she didn’t have the time to make it – enter our Etsy Wedding Artists. Etsy boasts over 1 million shops and it can be hard to navigate through them all… so I’ve created a beautiful gallery of the best of the best – our favorite EWA. These are artisans you can trust to help you craft special items for your wedding; from buying supplies to buying your wedding dress – you’ll find them here! They do the DIY so that you don’t have to – check them out!!!

***Look forward to bi-weekly Etsy Wedding Artist giveaways… ohhh we have some great things planned for you!!!

Go refill your coffee cup, take some time to click around and check everything out… and look forward to our super awesome #DIYfriday tutorial – it’s going to rock your turquoise socks off!!!

xoxo, Jen
