“My favorite wedding day moment was probably at the reception when we were officially announced. It was such a wonderful feeling to have ALL the people who you care about most in life applaud, smile, laugh, support, and celebrate our new marriage. It was a very happy and heart-warming experience. Also, probably the paebaek ceremony because it was so unique, and we had so much fun doing it!

..Sadly I personally didn’t “DIY” anything, even though I really would have if I had the time! However, my matron of honor, Jenn, who wasn’t able to attend (she was 9 months pregnant), made my money gift box from scratch! She designed it to fit the nautical theme. It was gorgeous and very professional-looking. My awesome wedding coordinator, Ngoc, came up with the idea of the beach chairs in the sandbox! She spent hours putting the name cards into the picture-frame chairs. Also one of my bridesmaids, Susanna, made display cards for all the framed pictures that were on the cocktail tables, giving a little detail of each framed picture.

..Yes! Something new: my pretty hanbok (traditional korean wedding dress) and my hairpiece. Something old: my engagement ring- the diamond used to belong to my mother in-law. Something borrowed: the garter used to belong to my cousin. Something blue: the garter, and a blue stone at the bottom of each of my shoes (shoes are from something bleu).

ST_advice_for_current_brides

..My advice to brides-to-be would be to hire a wedding coordinator! It will truly make your life easier. Also with the time saved having an expert plan your dream wedding, you can sit back a little, and enjoy the planning process! Also spend a little extra money on photographer YOU really like – I promise you won’t regret it!” – Christine, the bride
